Oven Dried Fruit & Vegetable-Challenge: part 3

Pears!

I love them. The crunchy ones (Conférence), those who are more juicy (Doyenné du Comice) and even the Asian Nashi pear: I love them all!

I now, I made chips from them. I used a crunchy Conférence pear because with a juicy pear, the dry process in my oven will take much longer.

You need:

- A pear (or more if you like)
- ground cinnamon (if preferred)
- patience

Preheat oven to 100°C/200°F. Cut the pear into very thin slices.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and cover with pear slices, in a single layer. Sprinkle with cinnamon (if preferred).
Bake for about three hours, until brown and crispy.

My pears started to caramalize after an hour in the oven. They turned out more crispy than the appels.
